Frequently Asked Questions

Membership, dues, continuing education and the association office. If your question isn't here, contact us and we'll help.

Who can join the Union County Association of REALTORS®?
Any licensed North Carolina real estate agent or broker may apply for REALTOR® membership. Agents already holding primary membership with another association may join UCAR as a secondary member. Start at Become a Member, or call the office at 704-776-4055.
What is the difference between a member and an affiliate?
Members are licensed REALTORS®. Affiliates are the businesses that serve them: lenders, home inspectors, attorneys, title companies, pest control, photographers and more. Affiliates appear in the Affiliate Directory and are maintained by association staff; they do not hold a REALTOR® membership or a member login.
How do I become an affiliate member?
Submit the affiliate application on the Become an Affiliate page. Once approved, association staff add your listing: headshot, company logo, contact details and a short description: to the Affiliate Directory.
How do I pay my dues?
Dues are paid through the NAR e-Commerce portal at invoice.realtors.org. The Pay Dues link in the Members menu and on the Membership Guide takes you straight there.
How do I update my information in the Members Directory?
Sign in with Member Login and open your profile. You can update your firm, phone, website and photo yourself, and the directory reflects the change immediately. If you cannot sign in, use the password reset link or contact the office.
Where do I find the Code of Ethics and the UCAR By-Laws?
Both are on the Membership Guide page as downloadable PDFs, alongside RPAC, the NAR REALTOR Benefits® Program, REALTOR® Safety resources, Canopy MLS and the NC REALTORS® Legal Hotline.
Where do I take my continuing education?
UCAR partners with The CE Shop. Use the Education link in the main menu, or go to unioncounty.theceshop.com, for CE and post-licensing courses.
What are your office hours and where are you located?
The association office is at 2627 Brekonridge Centre Drive, Suite 204, Monroe, NC 28110, open 9:00am to 3:00pm. Call 704-776-4055, or use the contact form on this site.
